## Required

- 2–3+ years of hands-on payroll tax experience focused on notice resolution, amended returns, and error correction
- Working knowledge of IRS and state agency notice types
- Experience resolving State and Federal payroll tax notices independently
- Comprehensive knowledge of tax payment and filing regulations
- Experience preparing amended Federal and State payroll tax returns
- Deep knowledge of federal payroll tax law including FICA, FUTA, FITW, and penalty structures
- Multi-state payroll tax expertise including SUI account management and local compliance
- Proficiency with at least one payroll platform and ability to navigate case management systems
- Excel or Google Sheets proficiency including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and reconciliation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC)

## Nice to have

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
- CPP certification
- 4+ years of payroll tax experience
- Experience at a payroll service bureau, PEO, or multi-client payroll tax environment
- Active pursuit of CPP certification
