## Summary

This is a principal-level AI engineering role at Blackstone's credit and insurance arm, focused on identifying and mitigating AI-driven risks across the portfolio. You'll be the technical lead for AI strategy engagements with portfolio companies, building internal tools, evaluating implementation partners, and helping companies reposition their businesses in response to AI disruption.

## Required

- 5+ years building AI/ML systems in production
- Fluency in foundation models, agent frameworks, RAG architectures, and vector databases
- Strong Python engineering skills and experience building APIs
- Shipped AI-enabled products or features to real users
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Ability to rapidly assess unfamiliar technical systems and form defensible architectural views
- Strong written and verbal communication for senior audiences

## Nice to have

- Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or agent-facing API design
- Familiarity with SaaS or enterprise software businesses
- Prior experience in consulting, investing, or technical diligence
- Exposure to private equity, credit, or portfolio operations environments
