## Summary

This role leads the technical architecture for Anthropic's AI-native education platform, owning everything from learner data models and content delivery to AI-augmented assessment systems that adapt to individual understanding. You'll partner with educators to build infrastructure that enables genuinely new learning experiences—competency-based progression, real-time adaptation, skill verification—at the scale of millions of users.

## Required

- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- Demonstrated ability to build platforms from zero to production at scale
- Genuine interest in education and AI-native learning
- Full-stack engineering skills with backend strength
- Experience building and operating reliable platforms for concurrent users
- Comfort with ambiguity and translating pedagogical intent into technical architecture
- Experience working with security and infrastructure teams
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

## Nice to have

- Experience building learning platforms, credentialing systems, or edtech products
- Background in learning science, instructional design, or educational research
- Experience with SSO/identity standards or LTI integrations
- Experience incorporating LLM capabilities as core infrastructure
