## Required

- Bachelor's degree in materials science, engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of materials engineering experience
- Experience with propulsion hardware materials and processes including material selection, qualification, damage tolerance, inspection, and failure analysis
- Experience qualifying materials and parts for additive manufacturing powder bed fusion hardware

## Nice to have

- Industry-leading expertise in metal PBF additive manufacturing for reusable rocket engine or aerospace parts
- Expertise in nickel, ferrous, aluminum, or titanium alloy systems
- Metallic additive manufacturing beyond PBF such as EBAM, LP-DED, WAAM, or Cold Spray
- Metallic fusion welding expertise in Laser Welding, EBW, GTAW, or GMAW
- Wrought, forging, or casting materials and processes experience
- Knowledge of surface modification processes and coatings for reusable rocket components
- Statistical experimental design and design allowable calculation expertise
