## Required

- Active CPA license
- Big 4 or national firm background
- 8+ years technical accounting or financial reporting experience
- Deep US GAAP knowledge
- Hands-on experience with revenue recognition (ASC 606), equity compensation (ASC 718), leases (ASC 842), and business combinations (ASC 805)
- Experience preparing GAAP financial statements and footnotes from scratch
- Experience managing external auditors and accounting consultants
- Comfort with ambiguity and shipping without playbooks
- Daily use of LLMs for drafting, research, and analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to write small scripts or automations in Python or SQL
- High integrity and ownership, low ego

## Nice to have

- Prior experience preparing a company for its first external audit
- Prior experience taking a company public or through IPO
- Capitalized software accounting in SaaS or AI
- Experience with valuation specialists on 409As, PPAs, or intangible asset valuations
- International transfer pricing or intercompany accounting exposure
- Working knowledge of Workiva, NetSuite, FloQast, or similar tools
