This role leads the technical architecture and strategy for a widely-used design system that serves hundreds of engineers across the company, requiring someone who can bridge design and engineering to build scalable, performant component libraries. You'll champion developer experience, accessibility standards, and AI-augmented workflows while collaborating across product, design, and engineering teams to solve complex infrastructure challenges at scale.

## Required

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
- Extensive experience owning technical vision and strategy for a design system or component library across multiple teams
- Deep knowledge of front-end performance optimization with proven track record solving difficult problems
- Expert knowledge of React, TypeScript, Git, Figma, and component documentation platforms like Storybook
- Expert knowledge of CSS and headless UI ecosystem
- Profound understanding of accessibility including ARIA, WCAG, and screen readers
- Portfolio or GitHub profile showcasing professional work or systems-level engineering
- Deep expertise evaluating and integrating AI/GenAI solutions in foundational architecture

## Nice to have

- Strong point of view backed by customer research
- Experience with open-source contributions
- Ability to anticipate risks in complex, ambiguous projects
