- 5+ years of software development experience
- Backend development experience with Go, Java, Rust, or C++
- Experience building or working on billing, payments, metering, or financial systems
- Ability to own complex systems end-to-end with focus on correctness and reliability
- Experience designing and operating scalable, fault-tolerant systems with strong data consistency
- Attention to detail with strong focus on data accuracy and edge cases
- Experience building systems with strong monitoring, alerting, and debugging capabilities

## Nice to have

- Experience with real-time and batch data processing
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures
- Experience guiding engineers and contributing to engineering culture
