- 3–7 years of engineering management leading backend or platform teams
- Senior or staff-level backend engineer background
- Experience building API-driven systems with Golang, Python, or similar
- Understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and system design
- Track record shipping complex systems in production
- Comfortable leading technical discussions and diving into implementation

## Nice to have

- Experience building platforms that support product teams (internal APIs, shared services, developer tooling)
- Familiarity with data-intensive systems, search engines like OpenSearch, or risk/decisioning systems
- Experience in fintech or highly regulated environments
- Experience in startup or growth-stage environments
