## Summary

StubHub is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the architecture and operational delivery of their core streaming and storage platforms, which process tens of billions of events daily across 100+ internal service teams. This role suits an experienced platform engineer with a track record of operating distributed systems at scale and leading large infrastructure migrations, who can set technical direction and mentor a team while managing compliance and performance of mission-critical infrastructure.

## Required

- 8+ years of software engineering experience with several years leading large-scale distributed systems
- Deep expertise in event streaming and messaging (Kafka or Kafka-compatible brokers)
- Proven production infrastructure operations at scale with high availability and incident response
- Experience with cloud data storage and NoSQL systems
- Track record of leading multi-quarter, cross-team platform migrations end-to-end
- Strong communication skills to align leadership, partner teams, and engineers

## Nice to have

- Schema registry and compatibility tooling experience
- Lakehouse formats (Iceberg)
- CDC pipelines
- C# and Python expertise
- Kubernetes/EKS experience
