## Required

- Hands-on experience building and shipping LLM-powered systems including RAG and agent orchestration
- Strong system design fundamentals with ability to identify failure modes and make lasting tradeoffs
- Experience owning technical quality and improving shared infrastructure
- Expertise in model evaluation including designing evaluation suites and detecting hallucinations
- Understanding of modern model architectures like transformers and diffusion models
- Production AI experience including deployment, monitoring, and optimization for latency, cost, and reliability
- Full-stack capabilities across backend and frontend
- Exceptional communication of complex technical decisions to technical and non-technical audiences
- Product thinking and judgment about what should be built

## Nice to have

- Experience fine-tuning foundation models and clear reasoning about when to fine-tune versus prompt
- Knowledge of AI safety, guardrail frameworks, and responsible deployment
- Experience building agentic or multi-step reasoning systems
- Background in SaaS or product analytics environments
- Prior experience launching new teams or product areas
