## Summary

A senior backend engineer role building the foundational cloud platform services that support Crusoe's AI infrastructure business. You'll own critical systems like the API gateway, quota management, and customer notifications while working on scaling and reliability as the customer base grows.

## Required

- 3+ years of software development experience
- Experience with modern compiled languages (Go, Rust, Java, or C++)
- API and service design experience with versioned public APIs
- Understanding of API gateway concerns (routing, authentication, rate limiting, quota checks)
- Ability to design and scale fault-tolerant distributed systems
- Relational database expertise (PostgreSQL) including schema design and transactions
- Experience with message queues and streaming systems
- Comfort building long-running workflows and reconciliation loops
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and microservices
- Experience with observability, SLOs, and production debugging
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Mentorship experience

## Nice to have

- Experience building or scaling a public cloud console or developer platform
- Familiarity with AI/ML workload requirements
- Experience with billing systems at scale
- High-growth startup or Neocloud infrastructure provider background
- Open-source contributions to cloud-native infrastructure
