## Required

- Hands-on experience building or owning production integrations against billing platforms, ERPs, or tax/finance systems
- Tax-systems fluency in at least one domain (indirect tax, corporate tax provision, withholding, research credit, or transfer pricing)
- Production-grade Python with testing and code-review discipline
- SQL proficiency for reconciliations and data validation
- Experience building or operating SOX-aware data flows (IPE, control totals, documented pipelines)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work directly with vendors, auditors, engineers, and tax teams

## Nice to have

- 7+ years in tax technology or finance systems engineering
- Experience owning changes in a shared production codebase with product engineers
- Warehouse and analytics-engineering skills (dbt, BigQuery, or comparable)
- Breadth across multiple tax domains (indirect tax, corporate income tax, withholding, research credit, transfer pricing)
- Experience building internal tools for non-technical finance or tax users
- Experience building with LLMs or applying AI to finance/tax work
- Marketplace, usage-based, or platform billing exposure
- Experience taking over and hardening vendor-built systems
- UAT design and change-management experience on finance-systems implementations
