## Summary

This role leads the design and continuous monitoring of IT general controls to support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance as Anthropic prepares for life as a public company. You'll work across engineering, audit, and finance to define control requirements for critical systems, validate implementations, and drive deficiency remediation in a hypergrowth environment.

## Required

- Led or been a senior contributor to an ITGC program through SOX 404 readiness or at a public company
- Working knowledge of PCAOB AS 2201 and COSO 2013
- Engineering fluency including ability to read code and Terraform and understand CI/CD pipelines
- Programming skills in Python or a systems language (Go, Rust, C/C++)
- Deep familiarity with developer platforms, release engineering, cloud infrastructure, or ERP/financial systems
- Ability to advise engineering without owning their controls and understanding second-line audit boundaries
- Strong collaboration and communication across Finance, Engineering, Internal Audit, and external auditors
- Experience using LLMs as daily working tools
- Ability to translate SOX requirements into engineering acceptance criteria and vice versa

## Nice to have

- Combination of Big 4 or equivalent IT audit experience with in-house experience at an AI-forward tech company
- Experience taking a company through first-year SOX 404(a) and 404(b) assessment
- Controls experience over home-built financially significant systems, usage-based billing, or revenue metering
- Controls experience for AI/ML systems or agents in production
- Continuous controls monitoring or automated evidence program experience
- SOC 1 reliance and service organization control mapping experience
- CISSP, CISA, CPA, or equivalent certification
