## Required

- 3+ years software engineering experience
- 2+ years managing backend or infrastructure engineers
- Ability to partner with Product Management on roadmap planning and estimation
- Strong communication in distributed, cross-timezone teams
- Track record coaching and developing engineers including performance management and career planning
- Technical mentorship experience
- Familiarity with observability practices (metrics, tracing, alerting, structured logging)
- Comfort with production incident response

## Nice to have

- Experience with Go or comparable backend languages (Java, Python, Rust)
- Familiarity with data warehouse platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks)
- Experience with data pipeline tooling (Airflow, Prequel)
