Crusoe seeks a Safety Engineer to serve as the embedded safety expert across design, manufacturing, and deployment of their AI infrastructure equipment, focusing on electrical and machine safety from inception through field deployment. This role bridges technical design and compliance, ensuring modular buildings and power distribution systems meet applicable safety codes while working cross-functionally with design and manufacturing teams.

Electrical Safety, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), OSHA

## Required

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related discipline
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical system safety principles
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory requirements (OSHA, NFPA 70E, IEC, ISO)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Ability to solve safety problems using first principles approach
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

## Nice to have

- Experience with functional safety standards (IEC 61508, ISO 26262, IEC 60204)
- Experience with Process Safety Management programs
- Experience with data centers, power distribution equipment, or complex electrical systems
- Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license
