- Demonstrated implementation of cybersecurity principles including cryptography, secure coding, and access controls
- Experience with industry-standard mainframe security products (RACF, ACF2, Top Secret, TLS)
- Strong object-oriented programming and interlanguage communications knowledge
- Understanding of microservices, APIs, databases, and Client-Server communication

## Nice to have

- Deep-dive debugging expertise and system dump analysis
- Penetration testing experience
- Thorough understanding of z/OS subsystems (Language Environment, CICS, IMS, WebSphere Liberty, DB2)
- Enterprise middleware and network protocol experience (ECI, TCP/IP, IBM MQ)
- Python, TypeScript, Docker, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, Jakarta expertise
- Cloud Native Architectures and container experience
- Prior experience developing or maintaining Gen
