## Required

- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field, or equivalent experience
- TV newsgathering, assignment desk, or field production experience
- Strong editorial judgment and ability to react to breaking news
- Problem-solving and calm under pressure
- Willingness to work early mornings, late nights, and weekends
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks
- Basic understanding of meteorology and weather science concepts
- Interest in weather and severe weather patterns

## Nice to have

- Degree or certification in meteorology or atmospheric sciences
- Network-level or national newsroom experience
- Familiarity with newsroom systems like iNews
