## Required

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience administering Sybase ASE 16.x environments
- Experience with Azure/AWS SQL managed instances
- Support of databases on RedHat Linux platforms
- SQL performance tuning and query optimization
- Automation scripting in Python, Bash, or Perl
- Knowledge of database replication and high-availability solutions
- Database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery practices
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis in production environments
- Effective collaboration across technical and non-technical teams

## Nice to have

- Experience with Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms
- Support of large-scale OLTP or data warehouse environments like Snowflake
- Knowledge of Sybase Replication Server, SQL Server Replication, or Warm Standby
- Experience with Kafka and Azure Data Factory
- Benchmark testing and load testing experience
- Database migration and infrastructure modernization experience
- Building operational tools and monitoring solutions
- Linux, Solaris, and command-line administration knowledge
- AWS Aurora PostgreSQL or MySQL administration
- NoSQL and Azure Cosmos DB experience
- Financial industry experience
