- 3 years of experience in Kafka systems administration
- Kafka cluster build including design and infrastructure planning
- High Availability and Disaster Recovery implementation
- Wire encryption using SSL and SASL/LDAP authentication
- Kafka authorization using ACLs
- Kafka Connect cluster and connector deployment
- Schema and schema registry experience
- Kafka cluster maintenance including upgrades and performance tuning
- AWS or Azure cloud support
- EC2, EBS, and security group provisioning
- Networking and load balancing knowledge
- Shell scripting, Ansible, and Terraform automation

## Nice to have

- Researching and proof-of-concept testing of new Kafka features
- Okta integration experience
