Alcoa's Transformation group seeks a strategic geotechnical leader to oversee tailings dam closure planning, impoundment operations, and global standards compliance across closed and operating sites. This role suits experienced engineers who can bridge technical expertise with cross-functional leadership on complex environmental remediation projects.

## Required

- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering, or related engineering discipline
- Minimum 5 years progressive geotechnical engineering experience in industrial, mining, process, or manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of tailings management standards (ICMM, ANCOLD, MAC/CDA, GISTM)
- Experience with geotechnical aspects of tailings dam closure planning, execution, and monitoring
- Experience performing geotechnical investigations, slope stability analyses, and consolidation modelling
- Experience performing geotechnical risk assessments including structural stability and long-term performance evaluation
- Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Willingness to travel up to 15%

## Nice to have

- Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, or similar field
- PE or PG license
