## Summary

This role leads product design for user activation and retention at Claude, Anthropic's AI assistant. You'll diagnose what drives habitual usage, redesign core experiences, and partner with product and engineering teams to move growth metrics through foundational product changes rather than incremental optimizations.

## Required

- Portfolio demonstrating product vision and craft
- End-to-end ownership of growth for a major product area
- Deep experience in activation, onboarding, retention, engagement, or expansion at scale
- Hands-on experience designing, launching, and interpreting experiments
- Fluency with product analytics (funnels, retention, engagement)
- Proficiency with Figma, Claude Code, and similar design and AI tools
- Strong collaboration skills across product, engineering, and data science

## Nice to have

- Experience leading growth strategy across multiple teams or product areas
- Experience with enterprise/B2B SaaS, productivity, or collaboration tools
- Experience with product-led growth from single user to company-wide rollout
- Experience mentoring designers or shaping design practice
- Ability to query data with SQL or similar tools
- Experience prototyping with front-end code (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)
- Experience defining AI-powered workflows
- Clear perspective on when products should demand attention versus remain unobtrusive
- Passion for safe, beneficial AI
