## Required

- 6+ years software development experience
- 2+ years in a lead or tech-lead role
- Backend expertise in at least one of Java, C++, Scala, or Python
- Cloud infrastructure experience with GCP or AWS
- Data frameworks experience such as Spark
- Understanding of algorithms and data structures
- Microservices and distributed systems knowledge
- SQL and NoSQL database familiarity
- Software engineering practices including version control, CI/CD, unit testing, and code reviews
- Experience architecting and deploying production systems
- Experience mentoring engineers
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Self-directed leadership capable of navigating ambiguity

## Nice to have

- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Security best practices knowledge (OWASP, secure coding, API security)
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, EO 14117)
- Containerization and orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Infrastructure as Code experience
