This role leads electrical failure analysis and field quality investigations for Oura Ring wearables, working to understand why devices fail in the field and prevent those failures in future generations. ## Required

- 7+ years in Product Quality, Failure Analysis, or Manufacturing Quality Engineering for electronic products
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related technical discipline
- Strong electrical engineering fundamentals in analog/digital circuits, power management, batteries, charging, sensors, clocks, PCBAs, flex circuits, solder joints, and component failure behavior
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting electronic products at board, subassembly, and component level
- Experience conducting or directing non-destructive and destructive failure analysis
- Experience interpreting schematics, layouts, bills of material, component designators, test limits, and electrical specifications
- Experience with SQL, Python, JMP, Minitab, or comparable data analysis tools
- Experience with consumer electronics, wearables, batteries, or high-volume small integrated products
- Experience working with contract manufacturers and suppliers on process controls and corrective action
- Understanding of quality principles and tools including GRR, SPC, FA/CA, 8D, FMEA, and DOEs
- Understanding of how SMT, soldering, molding, handling, fixturing, test design, and operator variation affect electrical failures
- Ability to work independently on ambiguous problems while engaging cross-functional partners
- Organized with ability to maintain evidence trails and communicate technical conclusions clearly
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 40%

## Nice to have

- Advanced degree beyond Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience building or operating an in-house failure analysis laboratory
- Experience training technicians and factory partners on repeatable screening procedures
