Xingyiquan is one of the major internal Chinese martial arts, characterized by aggressive, linear movements and explosive power generated from coordinated whole-body force. It is built around five fundamental fist techniques corresponding to the five elements of Chinese philosophy, and practitioners train it both for self-defense and for its health and internal-energy (qi) cultivation benefits.
