Woodball is a target sport, invented in Taiwan in the 1990s, in which players use a mallet to strike a wooden ball through a series of gates on a course, similar in concept to golf or croquet, with the lowest number of strokes winning. It's played on grass fairways and is governed internationally by the World Woodball Association, appealing to players for its low equipment cost and gentle, walkable pace.
