# Skins Game

A skins game is a golf scoring format in which each hole is worth a prize ("skin"), awarded to the player with the lowest score on that hole; if players tie, the skin carries over and accumulates on subsequent holes. It creates high-stakes, momentum-driven play since a single hole can be worth far more than its usual value. It is popularized in exhibition matches, notably the televised PGA Tour "Skins Game" events featuring top professionals.
