Sikaran is a Filipino martial art that originated in Rizal province and emphasizes kicking techniques almost exclusively, with hands used mainly for blocking. Practitioners spar in a manner similar to modern kickboxing, and it is considered one of the earliest documented Filipino combat sports, historically practiced as both self-defense and a competitive game between villages.
