Rugby fives is a handball-style court sport, a variant of the fives family of games, in which players strike a small hard ball with a gloved hand against the walls of an enclosed court modeled on rugby school architecture, including a buttress and step. It developed in English public schools alongside rugby football and is played today mainly in the UK, prized for its speed and the wrist and hand skill it demands.
