# No Base Running

No base running describes modified versions of bat-and-ball games, such as certain adaptations of baseball or softball for young children or limited spaces, where players hit the ball but do not run the bases to score, often instead earning points based on where or how far the ball travels. This removes the physical demand and complexity of base running while still practicing batting and fielding skills. Such variants are common in early youth training programs, backyard play, and games designed for players with mobility limitations.
