Lawn darts (also known as Jarts in the US) is a backyard lawn game where players toss large, weighted darts with plastic fins underhand, trying to land them inside or closest to a ring target laid on the grass, similar in scoring concept to horseshoes. Traditionally made with metal tips, the game was popular for family and casual outdoor play until safety concerns over injuries led to bans or redesigns with blunt tips in several countries. Modern versions typically use soft or rounded tips to reduce injury risk while preserving the game's simple, competitive appeal.
