Bump is a fast-paced elimination shooting game commonly played on a basketball court (often at the free-throw line), where two or more players take turns shooting in quick succession, trying to sink their shot before the person behind them, who can 'bump' them out of the game by making their own shot first. It's popular among kids and casual players as pickup-game filler because it requires only a hoop and a ball, moves quickly, and keeps everyone shooting rather than standing around. In some contexts 'bump' also refers to a simple volleyball passing drill/game practicing the forearm pass.
